St. John’s Institute is the cornerstone of an amazing living experience. We a non-profit charitable organization providing an affordable residence that offers a comfortable living environment in a facility originally established by our Ukrainian Orthodox community.
SJI is also a site for some of Edmonton’s best arts and culture events, and offers event room / meeting space rentals at very reasonable prices. Whether you’re a non-profit organization, an arts and culture group, an Edmonton-based business, a Ukrainian organization, or just looking for a space to rent, SJI can accommodate you!

What We Offer1
SJI is dedicated to promoting Edmonton’s arts and culture scene. We provide sponsorship and support for a number of local and national organizations and also host numerous arts and culture events in our facility throughout the year.2
We pride ourselves on our excellent food! Cooked in-house by our talented chefs, SJI provides catering for events held at our facility or at an external location. Check out our Food page for more information on food events and for our online catering menus.
