OSVITA is your opportunity to
make life long friendships with other Ukrainian
youth from across Canada and the world!

Only Program
Daily Routine
From Monday to Friday students attend
regular classes in Ukrainian 10,
20 or 30 during the day. Our well respected and experienced teachers have been
with the Osvita program for many years and are well accustomed to the
varied needs
of the students attending such a unique program.
Extracurricular Evening Activities
Our
extracurricular activities include the wonderful aspects of the
Ukrainian culture. These include: dancing, singing, arts & crafts, Ukrainian cooking, service projects.
These activities are perfect for all levels and let students
experience first hand the magnificence of the Ukrainian culture.
In addition to the cultural
activities, Osvita encourage physical activity through sports
(annual Osvita Olympics competition!), games, and
various outings.
Osvita also hosts some of the
most diverse and entertaining guest speakers and presenters. The rich
Ukrainian community in Edmonton allows Osvita to draw from the talented
individuals in the community.
The Fun Stuff
Trips
to the Vegreville Pysanka Festival, Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village,
and various campgrounds (for class in the wilderness) have become Osvita traditions.
At the end of the program students will kick up their heels with their
very own OSVITA ZABAVA!
Travel
to Ukraine
Our
trips are efficient and packed with many amazing destinations and
are designed to complement the preceding Edmonton program. We even
maximize our time by traveling in overnight trains for long
journeys and flying in an out of different airports.
The 2008 itinerary included visits to Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi and the Karpaty. Students had the opportunity to experience the culture, visit orphanages, see historical sights and enjoy authentic Ukrainian cuisine.
